Dental veneers can be used to transform your smile and are often used to improve the position, colouring and shape of your front teeth. Veneers are a popular and effective cosmetic dental treatment.
Dental veneers are an attractive cosmetic solution for front teeth that have been damaged or are stained. After a thin layer is shaved from the natural tooth’s surface, a customised veneer is fixed in place, protecting and covering the natural tooth underneath.
How do dental veneers work?
Made of high-quality porcelain or composite materials, dental veneers are bonded over your existing front teeth to transform misaligned or damaged teeth, creating a smooth and uniformly shaped smile. Your veneers can be made to match the colour of your natural teeth. Preparation is minimal and they can be fitted over two practice visits.
Whether you are looking to improve a single affected tooth or seeking a total smile makeover, dental veneers are an ideal cosmetic solution. Your dentist will assess your teeth and explain the results you can expect from dental veneers.
Your treatment
During the first visit, your dentist will carefully remove a small amount of outer enamel from your teeth to create the ideal bonding surface for the new veneer. An imprint of your teeth will be sent to our dental laboratory so they can create your veneer.
At the second visit, your dentist will first show you how the veneer looks when in place. If the results are pleasing, the veneer will then be bonded into place using a special adhesive. You will leave our practice with a set of beautiful and fully functional veneers that enable you to smile with confidence.
